Since I can think I am drawn to the effect of space and its atmosphere. I was born into a culture, which naturally engages with its surrounding and strives for a deep sense of harmony within spatial spheres. Within Japanese culture, nature and space are naturally intertwined.
There is no line between the inside and the outside, all is one. The strong emphasis on the value of “dedication” makes their culture universally prepossessing. In other words, the quality of energy you put into action reacts and transcends into the atmosphere.
This is where our feeling of harmony is conquered or diminished. Throughout my work, this particular attitude interests me. Within photography I want to portray this dialogue of space - the in between - the silence and often unobvious.
